“Historically, art and design was integrated into everyday life rather than separated into an object that is placed on a wall or cabinet to admire,” Bear Robe explained. “The beauty was worn, adorned and appreciated daily.”

We want to elevate and promote the amazing, local, Indigenous artists that we have in our area. We encourage all fashion designers, hair and makeup artists, and/or any other artists who wish to showcase their work at the One Heart MMIW Gathering.

 

Artists from the Pacific Northwest who wish to participate but cannot attend the event, we can coordinate to provide models for your art pieces and send them back to you, unless you wish for them to be included in the raffle after the showcase.
