Our Projects
"It has always been a dream of mine to see the Rivers on my homelands returned to their natural state. This is why the project sic cwix has started, with hopes to bring the Similkameen River back to its natural state by removing the Enloe Dam. sic cwix translates to New River in the ńsəĺxčiń Okanagan Salish language." - sənma̍lqs
k'ʷƛ'ap is ńsəĺxčiń for "sunrise" and is intended to serve as a culturally inclusive magazine for the greater Okanogan area. We know that the concept of "12 Confederated Tribes" is a colonized way of describing the people of this land. We want to shine a light on local history, art, and culture and to highlight different people and customs in our communities.
Aboriginal Outfitters feels that the blind eye turned towards the history of abuse, violence, miseducation, and neglect that takes place on Indian Reservations has been blind for too long. We want to not only bring awareness to the sadness, death, and tragedy that takes place, but also to find a way to get to the root of the cause of why suicide, domestic violence, and sexual abuse continues at such an alarming rate and to help combat it in real time.

Land Stewardship
təmxʷu̍laʔxʷ means "Mother Earth" in ńsəĺxčiń and is who our worlds revolve around. Aboriginal Outfitters is dedicated to creating unique and innovative ways to connect with the great outdoors. We plan to create custom gear, apps and information important to this area for explorers to use on their adventures. We also want to show the importance of caring for and respecting the entire animal while hunting, fishing, and how to ceremoniously honor all creatures of the land.
